Auto-digitizing software and "$1 per 1,000 stitches" shops trace the outline of your art and fill it with a default stitch pattern. That can look fine on a screen preview and still fall apart on fabric: gaps between colors, text that closes up, puckering around fills, and thread breaks that stop your machine every few minutes.
A hand-digitized file is planned for how thread and fabric actually behave:
- Underlay that holds down the nap of fleece, the texture of pique and the curve of a cap before the top stitches go in.
- Pull compensation so that satin columns and fills land where the artwork says, not 0.3 mm short.
- Stitch direction and angles chosen to catch the light and keep the fabric from being dragged in one direction.
- Sequencing and pathing that keeps trims and jumps low, so the design sews faster and cleaner on multi-head machines.
- Density tuned to the garment, so a performance polo doesn't turn into a bulletproof patch.

- Pay and download. You pay only after you approve, then receive every format you asked for.

What is embroidery digitizing?
Embroidery digitizing is the process of converting artwork into a stitch file: a set of instructions telling an embroidery machine where to place every stitch, in what order, with what stitch type and which thread color. It's done in specialist software such as Wilcom, Pulse or Hatch.
How long does digitizing take?
Standard orders are delivered within 24 hours. Most small logos come back the same business day. Rush service delivers within 6 business hours.
Do you use auto-digitizing?
No. Every file is digitized by hand by an experienced digitizer. Auto-digitizing is fast but usually produces poor underlay, wrong density and excessive trims.
What if the file doesn't sew well on my machine?
Send us a photo of the sew-out and tell us the machine, fabric and stabilizer. We'll adjust the file for free until it sews right.
Can I use the file on more than one machine?
Yes. You own the file and can use it on as many machines and orders as you like. We include every format you need at no extra cost.
