Digitizing for Tajima embroidery machines
Tajima created the DST format, and DST is still the standard file for Tajima single- and multi-head machines. On production machines, file quality shows up as run time and thread breaks. We build DSTs with efficient pathing, minimal trims and jump-trim settings that match your machine, plus separate cap versions.

Production files, not just stitch files
On a 6-head machine running hundreds of pieces, a file with 40 unnecessary trims or poor pathing costs real time on every run. Our commercial DSTs are built for production:
- Logical pathing with hidden travel runs, so trims and jumps are kept to a minimum
- Color order that finishes each color before moving on, where the design allows
- Lock stitches at every trim, so nothing unravels in the wash
- Density and underlay set for the garment, not a generic default
Trim settings
DST signals trims with consecutive jump stitches. If your Tajima is set to trim after 3 jumps and the file uses 2, you'll get untrimmed jump threads. Tell us your setting and we'll match it. The default on most machines works with our files as-is.

What file format does Tajima use?
DST (Data Stitch Tajima). Newer Tajima machines also support TBF, which can store extra information such as colors and sequins.
Why is my machine not trimming?
Usually the file's jump-count trim signal doesn't match your machine's trim setting. Tell us your setting and we'll match it.
